About me

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. After residing in France, Denmark, Canada, Spain and the United States, I returned to Venezuela and began photographic studies under the tutelage of photographer José Sígala at the Neumann Foundation Design Institute, I continued studies in New York where I received support and training from photographer Ralph Gibson , attending workshops and seminars at the International Center of Photography.

During my stay in New York, I related, being assigned advisor for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, with prominent photographers among which, Robert Mapplethorp, Adal Maldonado, Larry Clark, Mary Allen Mark, Gwen Thomas, Neal Slavin. Upon my return to Caracas, I taught photography workshops at the Neumann Foundation's Design Institute and did various commercial jobs for ABC, ARS and Vapro  Venezuelan Advertising Agencies.

 I exhibited participating in collectives and individuals in museums and galleries among which, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas Sofía Imber, Museum of Fine Arts of Sau Paulo, Museum of Art Mario Abreu of Maracay, Sacred Museum of Caracas, The National Art Gallery , Adler-Castillo Gallery, The Center for Inter-American Relations NewYork, Rizzoli Gallery New York, Photo Gallery New York, Minotauro Gallery, Mendoza Room, Vía Gallery, Siete-Siete Gallery, 39 Gallery, participate in the II Young Artists Salon in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas and the III Biennial of Visual Arts organized by the Consolidated Cultural Center. I exhibited at the IX Biennial Salón Aragua Mario Abreu Art Museum, and in a collective of Venezuelan photographers at the Primer Plano Gallery in Barcelona-Spain. In the "III Latin American Colloquium of Photography" Museum of Fine Arts of Havana, IX Rencontre Latinoamericain Arles France at the FIA ​​International Arts Fair of Caracas represented at Gallery 39, FotoFest Medellín Colombia, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Miami, Galería Freites, Caracas.

 My professional experience takes commercial, artistic, architectural and interior design photography.

 I also worked as a photography coordinator for Grupo Editorial Olavarria, as well as in the photographic coordination of two presidential campaign commands of two presidents of my country. I was assigned  coordinator for the Art and Culture section of the online magazine www.analitica.com which actively participates in  the editorial committee, carried out special projects inside and outside the country. I was part of the staff of collaborators for the Venezuelan magazine Complot in its beginnings has well for the Instagram page for codigo.VZLA. I was a member of the editorial committee of the prestigious Venezuelan photography magazine Extra Cámara.

QUIEN SOY

Nací en Caracas, Venezuela. Luego de residir en Francia, Dinamarca, Canadá, España y Estados Unidos retorne a Venezuela e inicie estudios fotográficos bajo la tutela del fotógrafo José Sígala en el Instituto de Diseño Fundación Neumann, continúe estudios en Nueva York donde recibí apoyo y formación del fotógrafo Ralph Gibson, cursando talleres y seminarios en el International Center of Photography.

Durante mi estadía por Nueva York me relacione, siendo asesora asignada para el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas, con destacados fotógrafos entre los cuales, Robert Mapplethorp, Adal Maldonado, Larry Clark, Mary Allen Mark,Gwen Thomas, Neal Slavin.  A mi regreso a Caracas dicté cursos de Fotografía en el Instituto de Diseño de la Fundación Neumann y ejecuté diversos trabajos comerciales para las Agencias de Publicidad ABC, ARS y Vapro.

 Expuse participando en colectivas e individuales en museos y galerías entre los cuales , el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas Sofía Imber , Museo de Bellas Artes de Sau Paulo, Museo de Arte Mario Abreu de Maracay, Museo Sacro de Caracas, La Galería de Arte Nacional,  Galería Adler-Castillo, El Center for Inter-American Relations NewYork, Rizzoli Gallery New York, Foto Gallery New York, Galería Minotauro, Sala Mendoza, Galería Vía, Galería Siete-Siete, Galería 39, participe en el II Salón de Jóvenes Artistas en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo  de Caracas  y la III Bienal de Artes Visuales organizada por el Centro Cultural Consolidado. Expuse en la IX Bienal Salón Aragua Museo de Arte Mario Abreu, y en una colectiva de fotógrafos venezolanos en la Galería Primer Plano en Barcelona-España. En el “III Coloquio Latinoamericano de la Fotografía” Museo de Bellas Artes de La Habana, IX Rencontre Latinoamericain Arles Francia en  la FIA Feria Internacional de Artes de Caracas representada en  la Galería 39, FotoFest Medellín Colombia, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Miami, Galería Freites, Caracas.

Mi experiencia profesional realice fotografías comerciales, artísticas, arquitectónicas y de diseño interior. Igualmente me desempeñé como coordinadora de fotografía para el Grupo Editorial Olavarria, como también en la coordinación fotográfica de los comandos de campaña presidencial de dos presidentes de mi país. Fui coordinadora de la sección Arte y Cultura de la revista online www.analitica.com la cual participe activamente con el comité de redacción, realizado proyectos especiales dentro y fuera del país. Forme parte del staff de colaboradores para la revista venezolana Complot en sus inicios igualmente para la pagina de Instagram de codigo.VZLA. Fui o miembro del comité editorial de la prestigiosa revista de fotografía venezolana Extra Cámara.
